Information for Parents
For the parents of high school students, helping a son or daughter select a college can be rewarding, yet stressful at the same time. After all, proud parents want to make sure their kids get a quality education from an established, respected school.

At Stonecliffe College Online, an academic division of Colorado Technical University, we want you to know more about us, since online learning may be new to you. Once you understand the true campus experience and industry-current education we deliver to the convenience of any Internet-connected computer, you'll know why Stonecliffe College Online is becoming the choice for many students seeking a career-focused, quality education.

A quality education from an accredited college
Stonecliffe College Online is an academic division of Colorado Technical University. Colorado Technical University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association. (For more information, visit the NCA Higher Learning Commission web site.)

What Is eLearning?
One of the main reasons Stonecliffe College Online offers such a remarkable academic environment is the richness of the experience your son or daughter will have on our Virtual Campus.

Our courses are interactive and delivered via rich, multimedia presentations with capabilities designed to give students some control over their learning experience. They can listen to presentations as often as they like. If they prefer to have a hard copy for notes, they can print them. If, during the presentation, they would like to repeat or move forward with any given concept, that's under their control, too. Students also have full rewind and fast-forward capabilities. Students also participate in classroom discussions with instructors and other classmates.

Much of the technology used to deliver our university's quality degree programs (Flash, email, real-time chat sessions, etc.) may already be second-nature to your son or daughter, since today's high school students have grown up using computers and technology.

Furthermore, our Virtual Library provides unlimited, anytime access to thousands full-text databases of journal articles, magazines, newspapers and reference articles.

What about Scholarships and Financial Aid?
About 60% to 70% of all students receive some sort of financial aid. At Stonecliffe College Online, financial aid is available to those who qualify. Our Financial Aid Department can assist you with many types of financial assistance, including PLUS loans and other federal and private financial aid programs*. The student will work with a Financial Aid Advisor to plan a financial assistance program that best fits his or her needs and qualifications.
