*A passing score on TOEFEL, a popular English competency test, is required if your first language is not English or if you graduated from a non-English speaking school. A TOEFL score of 500 (or 173 or higher on the computer-based TOEFL) is required.

How long will it take me to complete my degree through Stonecliffe College Online?

The amount of time it takes to complete each degree program depends on whether you select the accelerated or decelerated option. All students begin with a single course during the first session. However, beginning with the second session, you can choose between an accelerated and decelerated pace.

If you choose the accelerated option, you'll take two courses every 5 ½ week session. By taking two courses at a time, you can complete the Associate's degree program in as little as 15 calendar months.
If you choose the decelerated option, you'll take just one course every 5 ½ week session. By taking just one course at a time, you can complete the degree program in as little as 30 calendar months.

After completing the first 5 ½ week session, all students default to an accelerated pace of study unless they inform their Academic Advisors of their desire to keep learning at a decelerated pace.

International students and those students with no credit or an insufficient credit history will need to apply with a credit-worthy co-borrower. Co-borrowers must be US citizens or permanent residents, and provide proof of all sources of income. Please visit the Sallie Mae website for additional information.

Will I be getting the same education as I would get in a traditional classroom?

Online universities can be the perfect choice for international students. Stonecliffe College Online offers many degree programs that have been designed to allow you to learn at a more manageable pace. Additionally, you do not have to leave your country of residence to earn your degree.

Research comparing distance education to face-to-face instruction seems to show that studying at a distance can be as effective as traditional instruction, when there is student-to-student interaction, and when there is good instructor-to-student feedback. Based on your academic experiences, you should realize how important being proactive about this type of interaction can be.

Courses are taught using industry-current technology by instructors who have advanced degrees and bring situation-specific relevance to every course, helping to ensure that you are prepared for real-life challenges after you graduate.
