Christy Williams
Associate of Science in Accounting
Christy Williams, Collections Agent, has higher aspirations. "I have always wanted to earn a degree in accounting." When Christy attended the University of Alabama to begin working on a degree in accounting, she thought it was the answer. "It was exciting to be away from home, but that excitement was also a distraction and it was hard for me to focus on my studies."
After withdrawing from school a few years later and being caught up in the everyday grind of a full time position, financial concerns and family responsibilities, Christy was not any closer to earning a degree in accounting. After earning an Associate of Science in Accounting, Christy plans on enrolling through Colorado Tech Online in the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program. "Getting my Associate's degree through Stonecliffe College Online can be a great stepping stone. I am getting the knowledge and experience that may enable me to succeed in achieving my educational goals."
Christy feels that online learning through Stonecliffe College Online has several advantages for her. "I like the flexibility of being able to log on to the Virtual Campus at any time. If I miss my class I can listen to the archived recording whenever I want. It is a perfect fit for my busy schedule." Christy also feels online learning can be very personal. "The interaction I have with my instructors and my classmates is very helpful. My instructors greet me by name every time I log on to the live sessions, my questions are addressed promptly, and I get both positive feedback and constructive criticism from my classmates in the discussion boards. It is a great experience!"

"I learned the importance of time management and it has helped me in my classes, as well as at home and at my job. In my Personal Finance Concepts class I learned how to manage my assets more effectively, which had an immediate impact on my life."
